Welcome to Border Consultants

At Border Consultants Forestry Ltd, we provide comprehensive forest management and consultancy services in the UK, with a focus on Scotland and the North of England.   Accountable, bespoke and personable, our service is tailored around the client.

Our track record includes: three centres of excellence, establishment of the largest new native upland woodland in England in 1994 and the successful negotiation of the first forest plan in Scotland. For 28 years, we also managed 1600 ha of commercial forest for pension funds, providing good returns, which sold for a record price, for this type of property.

Our client base includes: land agents, farmers, large estates, public bodies, charities and institutional investors.  Our widespread experience includes valuation, environmental assessment, new native woodland creation, mensuration and litigation. We use GIS widely and, in conjunction with databases, it has proved a powerful tool, enabling our business to offer a personalised and sophisticated service not readily available elsewhere.

In Scotland and England there are various grants available.  Forestry grants are currently in a period of transition, with revised schemes for both Scotland & England to be launched in the future.  For more information on current funding, please contact Netty, netty@borderconsultants.co.uk or 07917 007198
