Welcome to Border Consultants

Border Consultants (Forestry) Ltd manages woodlands in the North of England and Scotland, varying in size from 1 to 1,500 ha.   Woodlands include those mainly for sporting, investment, or native woodland establishment and regeneration.

 This mixture is reflected in our client base, from small farmers, large estates, public bodies, charities and institutional investors. Most notably, we won the contract to prepare the Environmental Assessment for Cashel, the Royal Scottish Forestry Society native woodland Millennium project, where we were forest managers for 10 years.

In the 1990s, our clients' woodlands were awarded three Forestry Authority Centre of Excellence awards - more than any other management company achieved. We have many prize-winning woodlands on both sides of the border.

Our widespread experience includes valuation, environmental assessment, mensuration and litigation. We use GIS widely and, in conjunction with MSAccess, it has proved a powerful tool, enabling our small business to offer a personalised and sophisticated service not readily available elsewhere. 

Border Consultants is associated with KMS Baltics, which manages woodlands in Estonia, Latvia and Romania and property in Estonia.
